Course Overview

The Temporary Works Co-ordinator training course has the backing of multiple organisations: Temporary Works Forum, CECA, UKCG, HSE and FMB. The support of these organisations allow flexibility in applying the knowledge in other industries.

The course gives emphasis throughout to the importance of communication, co-ordination, co-operation and competency (the '4Cs'), risk management, safety and business relations. 

TWCTC will cover the following within the course:

  • Understand the need for and duties of a Temporary Works Co-ordinator
  • Understand the role of others
  • Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of BS5975 in respect of this role

Who Should Attend?

This course is two days in length created to train those on site to manage all forms of temporary works. This course will also relate to senior management or staff to interact with contractors with the goal of reaching an assessed standard of knowledge.

People attending the course must have a good understanding of both written and oral English.

Entry Requirements

This course is open to all attendees current working in temporary work or looking to work in this area of work.


Certification is through site safety plus recognised by the CITB, valid for 5 years.
